SIST Tourism Club
The Ministry of Tourism has initiated establishing ‘Tourism Clubs’ as a part of the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ celebrations. The vision of Tourism Clubs is to nurture and develop young ambassadors of Indian tourism who would become aware of tourism possibilities in India, appreciate our rich cultural heritage, and develop an interest and passion for tourism. These young ambassadors would be catalysts for promoting tourism in India.
Objectives:
1. To impart the knowledge about Indian Culture and Heritage among students
2. To develop leadership skills, team work abilities
3. To make aware of responsible tourism practices
Activities:
Tourism club of Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology conducted a Poster making competiton on the theme of TAMILNADU HERITAGE PLACES AND CULTURE" on 02.04.2024. Student participated and exhibited their artistic talent and comprehensive view on the theme in their posters.
Tourism club of Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology has conducted “Clean Pongal” poster design competition along with awareness session on protecting nature on 03.02.2023. Enthusiastic students participated with various poster designs relevant to the themes of Clean Environment, Avoiding Plastic, Protecting Nature and Preserving Heritage places.
