OBJECTIVES

To give students a stage where they can understand and practice science
To provide opportunities for students to exhibit their scientific talents

ACTIVITIES

Science Club of Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology conducted SCIXART Competition on 12.04.2024 . Students participated in this science art based competition and made creative science based posters

Science Club of Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology conducted SAILING ON SCIENCE Competition on 13.03.2024 . Students participated and learned about concepts of science in experiential manner.

Science club of Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology has organized a webinar titled “Arduino Controlled Scientific Applications” on 10.5.2022. Dr.M.Pushpavalli, Assistant Professor, Dept of EEE,SIST delivered information to student participants about arduino working methodology and its scientific applications.

Science club organized an intercollege science fest "Agon" on 8th and 9th August 2019.

Science club has conducted "SCRAPTURE"-2018 - Best out of the Waste on 24th July, 2018 at Physics Lab.Students presented variety of models,where innovative solutions were emerged out of the unused products. Prizes were distributed to the best models.

The Science Club of Student Development Cell organized "TECHNOZEAL" on 24th and 25th January 2018. Our first year students visited and enjoyed the Mini Digital Planetarium set-up made as part of this event in Central Library. On the second day, after the paper presentation and other events, the prizes were distributed by Dr.J.V.Yakhmi, Former Associate Director, Physics Group, BARC and delivered a wonderful valedictory speech.

The Science Club of Student Development Cell organized a two day workshop on "Rocketry and CANSAT satellite launching" on 27th and 28th July 2017. Eminent scientist Dr.Ande Murali Varaprasad, Professor and Director CIGS and Mr.Nishanth Gaurav, Senior Vice President, SDNx and famous alumnus of Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology handled the sessions.

Science Club conducted an event "TECHNOTRON" on 3rd April 2017. Quiz and Paper Presentation were conducted during this event. Nearly 100 teams eagerly participated in this event and presented their work on various domains.

Science Club conducted an event "SCRAPTURE 2016" (Theme on Best out of waste) on 4th November 2016. Nearly 80 teams participated and made exquisite articles out of used plastic bottles, paper cups, plates and empty cartons

ITask-16 - Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology in association with IIT Madras hosts iTask (Innovative Technology and Science Kaleidoscope) 2016, a conclave for the young and aspiring minds to showcase their talents in Engineering, Medicine and Science to commemorate the visit of Nobel Laureate Dr. Walter Kohn
