TAMIL CLUB
OBJECTIVES
- To motivate the students in the active learning process of Tamil Language
- To inculcate the habit of being exposed to the rich Tamil Literature
ACTIVITIES
Tamil club conducted a competition of "Word War" on 22.03.2024. Registered students actively participated and exhibited literary skills in this competition.
Tamil club of Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology conducted "Tamil Poetry" competition on 21.03.2023. Student participated and showcased their literary talent in Tamil poetry.
Kurolodu Vilaiyadu program was conducted by Tamil club on 13th July, 2022. Students participated with enthusiasm and presented various dimensions of Tirukkural.
Tamil Club conducted "Tamil Pattimandram" on 28th March, 2022. This is an annual event that is being conducted to celebrate Dr.M.G.R Birthday. Mr.Arul Selvan, Vice President, Mrs.Maria Bernadette Tamilarasi , Vice President graced the occasion and encouraged the participants with prizes and extended the best wishes.
Tamil Club has organized 'TAMIL PATTIMANDRAM" on the eve of Dr.M.G.R Birthday celebrations held on 14.02.2020. Dr.Suki Sivam, the renowned orator, writer and scholar in Tamil has graced the event as the Chief Guest. The event was conducted in the spirit of remembering and celebrating the qualities of Dr.M.G.R as a leader, who showed the light of progress to all sections of the society. The management of the institution shared best wishes for the participants.
The TAMIL CLUB has conducted Tamil Fest on 16th July, 2019. Students participated in Oratorical competition, Poem Writing and Essay Writing competitions. Mr.Shanmugam , Renowned Tamil Scholar was acted as the judge for the competitions and appreciated the students talent.
The Tamil club has conducted a Tamil stage play named “KAVERI” – Awareness about water utilization by Mr.Raja,Alumnus of our institution on 5th March, 2019. The play was informative and students were enlightened about the importance of utilzing water to the needed extent.
TAMIL club has conducted a workshop titled" PESA PESA KASU" by Tmt.Sabarimala on 1st March, 2019. Students actively participated in this workshop and discussed various topics related to women empowerment.
Our Tamil Mandram students participated in the Pothigai TV live - zhagaram program on 15.9.2018 Saturday. Students debated on the topic of “Learning is a continuous process” and won the first prize.
