Funding is the act of providing financial resources, usually in the form of money, or other values such as effort or time, to finance a need, program, and project, usually by an organization or company. Sources of funding include credit, venture capital, donations, grants, savings, subsidies, and taxes.
The published material contributes to further research activities and achieves credit and citations. Publication of research work in the form of books, monographs, articles & research papers and other original works are means by which researchers communicate scholarly outcome and build their reputation among their peers.
A Patent is a form of intellectual property that gives its owner the legal right to exclude others from making, using, selling and importing an invention for a limited period of years, in exchange for publishing an enabling public disclosure of the invention. In most countries patent rights fall under civil law and the patent holder needs to sue someone infringing the patent in order to enforce his or her rights.
