Dr.A.Anderson, Professor & HoD, Department of Aeronautical Engineering, joined Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology as Asst. Professor in June 2006. He has completed his Masters in Thermal Power Engineering. He has completed his doctoral research in Surface Engineering for High Temperature Applications in 2013. He has successfully completed research projects sponsored from DAE, DRDO and ISRO. He is life member in Materials Research Society of India, American Institute of Aeronautics & Astronautics, International Association of Engineers

He was also invited to deliver an invited talk for the international Conference on Temperature Coatings on High Temperature Coatings at Brazil. He has also delivered guest lecture in various engineering colleges and provided hands on training in Faculty Development Programs.
He is actively involved in academic and sponsored research. Under his guidance, five research scholars have completed their doctoral research in the areas of Surface engineering, Refrigeration, Vibration, Nano Fluids, Biofuels. He is guiding research scholars in the areas of composite materials, Materials science.
His areas of interest include Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, Heat and Mass Transfer, Thermal Engineering, Gas Dynamics and Jet Propulsion, Engineering Thermodynamics, Vibrations
